DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLASSES

Types of classes include copper foiling, leaded stained glass and painting on glass. You don’t need to be an artist or consider yourself as crafty as Kirsty Allsop. The magic is in the glass, it is the way it catches the light and the myriad of colours and possibilities it presents.

  • Three hour taster classes. These classes are designed as opportunities to explore the medium of stained-glass. In these classes you will either learn the technique of copper foiling or leading glass and create a piece that you can take home on the day. In the past these have included flowers, hearts and mini panels. Please see the bottom of the page for examples of past students work.
  • Six-week stained glass class. In this class you will learn the basics of cutting, grinding leading, soldering, and finishing and leave with your completed hand-made stained-glass panel of 25x25cm. In the past we have made various panels, some depicting sunsets, sailing scenes, medieval windows and a Glasgow Rose
  • Five-week painted glass class. This class will teach the basics of stained glass painting alongside the techniques stated above. I will then permanently fire your glass for you and using your painted piece you will create a unique panel of around 15x15cm.
  • Hen Parties

Make a simple heart or build a bespoke panel with the Bride-To-Be to celebrate her forthcoming wedding. Take it home or use it as decoration on the day. This will help you all remember the day forever!

  • Bespoke team Building

Creating a stained glass panel is a fun way to help create a cohesive team and is easily accessible by all abilities. This activity will foster connections, improve communications and promote cooperation as participants get to know each other on a deeper personal level. The process involves various roles and skills in the construction of the panel – which can be designed by your team to illustrate your logo or reflect the core values of your business. Team building Courses start at £799. Please email me for further information.
